As the primary texture artist for the Old Republic environment team, I trained the rest of the team on painting techniques. Part of this included creating paintovers of other artists textures to give them an idea of the direction to take (usually just a corner of their 512 texture). Unfortunately I cannot post these until the release of The Old Republic.


Photo-based texture work for terrain and buildings, most of which required the merging of several images. In general, these needed to tile well and have minimal lighting:

 
 

 


The following were unusual- we needed to create line work that would have color applied  to it procedurally. I created all the major sets for buildings such as windows, doors, as well as laying them out on the mesh. Click to enlarge:
